Upon completion of the residency program and achieving his board credentialed Sports Certified Specialization, he took a Performance Fellowship position with the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, focusing on collaboration and integration with the Louisville Strength and Conditioning Team. While there, he was awarded a traveling fellowship through the American Physical Therapy Association through which he interacted with various sports medicine sites locations throughout the country, notably Memorial Hermann Ironman Sports Medicine in Houston, TX. Chris moved to Houston in 2014 to take a position with Memorial Hermann Ironman Sports Medicine as a Physical Therapist, a Sports Residency faculty member and curriculum advisor, and also positions in program development and collaboration with physicians and other medical personnel. He spent time in both primary and assistant research positions, and as a consultant to various entities and programs throughout the Houston area. In November 2019, Chris took a Masters of Philosophy position with Auckland University of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand. This involves a research appointment to be completed towards the end of 2020. Chris is continuing to practice as a Physiotherapist in New Zealand, serves as adjunct faculty at the Auckland University of Technology Physiotherapy school, and serves as medical staff for local rugby and tennis. He continues to be involved in a myriad of USA projects, research programs, and mentorship, while staying active in writing and publications.
