Physical Therapist
Dr. Ryan Gary grew up in Grand Rapids and discovered physical therapy through a number of athletic injuries of his own. He attended Hope College before moving to Colorado and obtaining a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. His interest in athletics and participation in endurance sports, including the completion of several marathons, triathlons, and the Louisville Ironman has given him an appreciation for manual therapy. His clinical work in Colorado has given him a unique skill set that he eagerly shares with the West Michigan community. He has worked with people of all ages with varying impairments from professional athletes to pediatrics. Dr. Gary is certified in ASTYM therapy, Active Release Technique (ART), Functional Dry Needling (FDN) and is a Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC). Ryan is also an assistant instructor with Kinetacore teaching dry needling around the country. During the fall and spring he coaches track and cross-country at East Grand Rapids high school in Michigan and is passionate about using his skillset for the betterment of his community. Speaking Spanish, Ryan is passionate about cultures, travel, and deepening his perspective with new places, passionate people, and diverse environments. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys running, biking, climbing, kiteboarding, and spending time with his wife, Ashley, their two sons, Sawyer and Rowan and their dog Timber. While the mountains often call him back, he loves all that Michigan has to offer.
